One way on Argos trail (up only) on odd numbered calendar days.

Overview

This is really a combination of Argos, Pick'n Sledge, Grubstake loop and ending on the lower section of Apex.

Description

Start the uphill switchback grunt on Argos and turn right onto Pick'n Sledge at the first junction. Stay on this trail through a couple of rock features and continue straight at the junction with Grubstake to go clockwise (and take advantage of the downhill). Continue on Pick to the top of Indian Mountain where you can take a quick breather and check out the Denver metro area from the shade of the pines.

Ride on over the backside and turn sharp left onto Grubstake. It can be easy to miss if you're screaming along so a key marker is a sitting bench on your right. Another short and gentler uphill to a series of tight and somewhat technical downhill switchbacks with a nice roll back to the first Grubstake/Pick'n Sledge junction. Continue on back down the hill and onto Apex for a rewarding downhill (avoid the hikers and dogs!)

While there are a few rock sections and water bars, I wouldn't consider this continuously technical. Most flow very well and I'll bet if you got this far you can walk your bike over anything!
