Most of this trail is smooth fireroad. In the middle, there is a 1/2-mile section of singletrack to allow public access around a section of the fireroad that is closed to the public.
In hot weather, the climb going east is brutal. Going west, downhill, the fireroad is smooth and wide allowing dangerously high speeds. Please be careful and watch out for horseback riders and other trail users.
There is trailhead parking at the western end on the neighborhood streets.
The eastern end of Albertson's allows you to connect to
Upper Las Virgenes Canyon Trail. There is no access beyond this point as there is a gate and the land beyond is private property owned by Boeing.
