Overview

This is a great trail for a quick ride at lunch or after work. There are no big climbs or big descents, but you can really go all out and turn some good speeds on this wide singletrack.

Description

There is a large sign that is the trailhead. Take a quick right behind the large sign and work your way through one of the newer technical sections. Weave your way over and across the parking lot entrance. Cross the road and you'll be on a fast doubletrack run through a very green section that was part of the original trail. This section is super fast and very wide.

Eventually you'll dump out onto a powerline area and the trail quickly shoots back into the wooded area. After a couple of fun turns it shoots across the open powerline area and into another fast, open technical section. Be aware that as you wrap back around to the powerline area the new trail shoots of to the left and winds down a little before dropping out into the powerline area. A short run down this open area presents a nice little dirt mound for a jump and ushers a climbing section.

This climb rises into one of the newest parts of the trail: the rollers. Almost nearing pump track mentality, these rollers merge into some narrow singletrack that winds around and back towards the parking lot. It finally heads across an emergency access and whips past a playground into some more open doubletrack. Many high speed turns and long straightaways make this a section built for speed.

After winding around you'll come to a forest service road, take a right and make a quick ride down to where the trail picks back up. The pump track access will be on the left, the singletrack will be on the right. A gravel trail with a long straightaway runs you back into the wide trail. Be aware that as you approach the bottom there is a ditch/jump. If you are unprepared it could end badly, but with enough speed it can easily be an air bridge. Just a few more turns and you are back behind the sign, ready to spin lap two.
