Description

Lindy Run Trail connects the upper and lower sides of Loop road. It is best accessed from the top and ridden down where it exits adjacent to Lindy Run, a stream that has to be forded on the Loop Road. The trail begins with a gradual but technically challenging ascent over roots, rock and bog. The trail provides more of the same as it crests the mountain and begins a gradual descent.

This continues, with some fun sections over the rocks until the trail crosses the Plantation Trail at about the halfway point. As it continues, the Lindy Run Trail descends more abruptly and changes character. This part is sometimes gnarly, occasionally overgrown, and always entertaining. It was reopened around 2012 by hard work from the local crew. Lower down, the trail comes out under some large boulders with a stunning cliff-like face.

From Davis Tr, we guessed Lindy was beyond our skills, & it was, but we needed a loop. A pretty, mostly hike-a-bike for us; north half way overgrown. 2.9mi — 1h 00m

A little over grown in a lot of places. MANY mud bogs! Some were very deep, most were not ridable. 2.9mi
