Overview

This singletrack loop was created and cared for by the Dallas Off-Road Bicycle Association. It is located on the south side of the Arbor Hills Nature Preserve, west of the parking area. This is not an overly technical trail but it can provide a solid workout. In fact, it's a great place to work on interval training due to the climbs.

Need to Know

The trailhead is located on the west side of the park. To access the trailhead, head on the paved trail past the pavilion and playground. Look for a large white sign that details the IMBA rules and marks the beginning of the trail.

This trail is ridden by the North Texas Mountain Bike Patrol in case of emergency.

Description

This loop trail heads in the clockwise direction for bikes and the counter-clockwise direction for foot traffic, winding through twenty-five acres of the park. The singletrack trail is fairly twisty and has a number of off-camber ups and downs. Though not an overwhelmingly technical trail, Arbor Hills can be an aerobic challenge. Go train your intervals!

In addition, the trail meanders through some amazingly picturesque nature given that it's right in the middle of a major urban area. Part of the singletrack goes along a river. You'd never know you're in Plano when you're on that part of the trail.

Look for a large white sign at the trailhead that lists the IMBA rules for the trail. Please respect these rules and ride responsibly.
