Description

Beginning near the midsection of the Midland Trail, Bacon Bits climbs steadily to Old Midland Cutoff (376.A). Start up a doubletrack, taking a singletrack on the left (west) almost immediately through a blast rock field (remnants of the railroad building).

The trail winds through a series of rock features and is excellent as climb, or descent as the elevation change is minimal. Look for alternate lines around the various rock features.

Alternatively, climb Old Midland Cutoff (376.A) road at the top of Django and descend Bacon Bits to create a loop with Midland.
