Access Buck Gulch from the beautiful Pine Valley Ranch Park, with parking, bathrooms, picnic area, and popular fishing spots. Cruise along the river on the Narrow Gauge trail until you take a left over the large bridge and see Buck Gulch in front of you.

In a short distance you reach the intersection with Strawberry Jack to the left. But continue uphill to the right, going over some very steep sections. They are just long enough that you can ride through it, but don't let the loose pebbles cause your wheels to spin.

It's uphill the whole way, but the angle gets much easier near the top.

It was once a dirt road but is reverting to singletrack. The trail travels in and out of the Hi Meadows fire of 2000. It is actually possible to drive to a parking area at the end of this trail, but that would involve a ton of driving right through some awesome singletrack.
